When camping in our caravan or motorhome connection with our mobile devices or mifi hotspots can let us down. This is a connection issue.
Vans are insulated to keep us warm when it is cold outside and cool when it is hot, however this insulation creates a faraday cage effect, thus suppressing signal and resulting in poor connectivity.
The FALCON 4G combo is a combined internet solution with router and twin antenna system that is fully waterproof and is mounted on the outside of the van now outside the faraday cage principle. The results are clear to be seen. Check the speed test result in the gallery this was using an EE sim card in a true camping environment.

The Falcon 150Mbps 4G Combo Router is aimed at providing an enhanced browsing experience on the move. The device is designed with suction cups that can be mounted to the interior or exterior of your vehicle’s window. It can also be mounted into the body of a caravan or motor home.
It is capable of speeds up to 150Mbps and will allow up to 10 devices to connect to it. The router does not include a sim-card but you can take a prepaid or contract solution with your local provider. The device is network unlocked which will enable you ease of access when setting up the router.

After going camping and trying to hotspot our smart TV to our phone without success we spoke to a falcon rep at Malvern caravan show who explained the problem. Insulated van and transmitter at a distance all made sense, working to a budget and not wanting to drill a hole we purchased this unit for £199 we thought got to be worth a try. Works exactly as described we plug in to the power supply in the van pass the router through the window and fix to the side of the van. Now we can stream and where we cannot make phone calls we connect to the router and make WIFI calls. 5 Stars to this value for money product.

Seen this on Youtube video by Dan Trudgians, great review on the product. Bought one from FALCON with the ee sim already in loaded with data. Worked straight out of the box. Tested at home in my office where signal is poor from our home router and works great there. Took it away last weekend watching Netflix and doing all our catch up on Iplayer with it. Well worth the investment.

My first few visits were to places that has a reasonable 4g phone signal which the combo made more stable and easier to access, no more setting up wi-fi hotspots on my phone. The test was a stay at a frequently visited site that I have never been able to get a wi-fi signal through my phone. With the combo, using the same network as my phone, I have been able to get a good, stable signal all week. I have been able to surf the web, upload and download with ease. I am absolutely delighted with the performance of the combo and totally recommend it.

I am pleased to say the combo router and a 120GB 12 month sim both arrived in the same package from Amazon and I have now set up which was very straight forward. It was a little more difficult to change the Wi-Fi name and password.
I have to say I am extremely impressed with your router. I initially tried it my home and compared it with incoming home broadband. I performed a speed test on both and got 50.3Mb download with your router and EE sim and only 32.4Mb download on my home broadband. I also did the same test on my iPhone with an O2 sim and got 10.2Mb.
The only slight criticism I would make is that the 12v cable out of the 240v transformer is a bit short but I am working on that to find a practical solution. This why I previously asked what 12v router connector was, as was thinking of making or looking for, an extension lead.

Well made only used once but very happy with it using with EE data SIM with no problem whatsoever we where running 2 phones a tablet and netflix and everything workd with no worries only thing is that the cables could be a bit longer but not a problem for me the storage case is well made will protect it in our caravan when travelling and keeps everything in one place would recommend it to friend and family just hope it doesn’t get stolen when on the caravan.
