Cookie Policy
How we use cookies on this website, and how to change your choices.
Last updated 19 October 2026
This policy explains how Falcon Technical Ltd, trading as Falcon Technology, uses cookies and similar technology on falcontechnology.co.uk, and how you can choose which ones we use. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technology, such as your browser’s local storage, works in the same way. Some are needed for the website to work. Others help us understand how the site is used or measure our adverts.
Your choices
When you first visit, we ask which optional cookies you are happy for us to use. Essential cookies are always on, because the shop cannot work without them. Live chat, analytics and marketing cookies are only used if you allow them, and nothing optional runs before you choose.
You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings, which is also at the bottom of every page. If you turn a group off, we stop using it and delete the cookies it set on our website.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block essential cookies, your basket, checkout and account will not work.
The cookies we use
Essential
Needed for the shop to work: your basket, checkout, account, payments and security. These are always on.
Live chat
Loads our Zendesk chat on every page so you can message us straight away. Without it, the chat button still works: the chat loads when you press it.
Analytics
Help us understand how the site is used, which pages work and where people get stuck, so we can improve it. The information is not used to identify you.
Marketing
Let us see which adverts and links lead to orders, and remind you about an unfinished basket by email when you have given us your email address.
More about analytics
If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Google Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages and products are viewed. When you add products to your basket or place an order, our website also sends those events to Google Analytics, but only if you allowed analytics. Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling, so we can find and fix problems. Google and Microsoft may process this information outside the UK.
More about marketing
If you allow marketing, the Google Ads tag records which of our adverts brought you to the site, so we can see which adverts lead to orders. We also record where your visit came from, such as an advert, a search or an email, and save it with your order. If you have given us your email address at checkout, we may email you about a basket you did not finish.
More about live chat
Our live chat is provided by Zendesk. If you allow live chat, it loads on every page. If you do not, the chat button still works: the chat loads only when you press it, and Zendesk then stores what it needs to keep your conversation open.
Videos and other content
Product and blog videos are played from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced service (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; once you do, YouTube may store information in your browser. Our fonts are provided by Adobe Fonts and our review widget shows reviewers’ pictures from Google. These load content from those companies, which can see your IP address, but they do not set cookies.
Payments and security
PayPal stores information in your browser when its buttons are shown, so that you can pay with PayPal and to help prevent fraud. Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms and checkout from spam and abuse. Both are needed for the service you have asked for, so they are treated as essential.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the cookies we use change. If we add a new optional cookie, we will ask for your choice again.
